Title: Condolences
Post by: Egret on March 25, 2019, 02:56:15 PM
I was trading texts with Firewatch over the weekend and found out that one of Massillon's finest for many years passed away. Those of you that weren't east side cake eaters certainly remember Coach Bob Baker. He had some type of industrial accident and lost most of his fingers. Those of us that played for him and/or crossed his path in an adverse way know that those freaking knubs he had could bore down into your deltoids and hurt like living hell. Caught Dan Nagle and I running down the hall for lunch one day at L.A. After my shoulders were numb beyond belief I got to have my other side numb when Jim Gatsios whacked the living shit out of me so hard my head hit the wall.

Anyway, a story from the past. Condolences to the Baker and Manion families. Coach was one of the great ones to me.
