Have you figured it out yet?

It's the Rider Land attitude about ESPN after the King Loser debacle.

I don't know where to begin pointing out how this network is ruining pro sports.

Let's do bullet points:

1) First, they are front and center in the promotion of the current mess that is Major League Baseball. That mess being....only the biggest of the "big" markets compete and the other 20-some teams just fill out schedules. ESPN drives the hype that is "Red Sox vs. Yankees" at the detriment of the rest of baseball. They drive the cable TV cash cow that only New York, Boston, Philly, Chicago, and LA can use to their advantage while Pittsburgh, Cincy, KC, etc., have decent teams only once every 10-15 years.

2) Second, they fueled the debacle that was the King Loser "Decision" last week. I don't know what was worse: Cyclops Stuart Scott defending King Loser....or Linda Cohn excitedly saying that one-hour show "WAS FOR CHARITY!"...Scott's glass eye and "hip hop" act...Jim Gray...the non-stop BS on Sports Center....or the fact they signed off on a program that dragged Cleveland through the mud for the whole world to see.

3) Their constant social engineering agenda. Let's put a female (Pam Ward) in the football announcer's booth. Never mind she stinks.

4) Jamming the World Cup down our throats

5) Chris Berman. Please get a new act.

I agree with all the points except the World Cup. Nobody is jamming anything down your throats. Don't watch it if you don't enjoy it. I know one thing. The ratings are better than the World Series got last year.

If Cuba had a team in the World Cup, would Florida Tiger make a few Cuban sammitches and invite over a few of his Ybor City friends?

Back on subject, FESPN has evolved from something that began as a good thing and now tries to basically run the sports world. This is not good.
